4. Planing your time
Decide how long to give yourself to write your book, even if you don't have publisher deadlines to have no deadlines is not always good. You need enthusiasm and goals. If you say "you have all the time in the world" then it will take you all the time in the world to write, you may even lose interest or go so far off the subject that the book is unreadable. You need to stay focused, life is full of surprises and you never know what's around the corner to throw you off course. With your book you will character build or research subjects that are fresh in your head, you need to stay within the story or subject, if you leave big gaps between the periods you write then you may lose the subject or characters altogether. Set yourself targets..... for example 2hrs a day and 8 hrs at the weekend. Pick times the house is quiet or times when your less likely to be disturbed.
